of $18,000 Raised

At Classrooms Without Borders, we believe every individual has what it takes to be a superhero. You don't need brute strength, supersonic speed or any special gadgets to save lives and make the world a brighter place for all. All you need is compassion for others and intolerance for indifference.

Therefore, we have decided to bring the Pittsburgh community together to raise funds for Innovation: Africa.

Nearly 620 million people in Africa live without electricity. That means babies are born by the light of kerosene lamps, children can't study after sunset, lifesaving medicines and vaccines lack refrigeration, and people drink dirty water because they don't have the power they need to pump clean water from below ground.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Innovation: Africa (www.innoafrica.org) brings Israeli innovation to African villages, and we have started a campaign to help bring solar energy to a community in need. Classrooms Without Borders aims to raise $18,000. This amount will provide enough solar panels to power an entire medical center, school, or orphanage.

This season, let's come together to share our holiday light with those living in darkness. All it takes is a community of superheros.

Up, up and away Pittsburgh!
